One of the best things about my journey as a teacher blogger is meeting people! I have been so blessed to meet amazing teachers and people all over the country! There are no words to describe the impact you all have made on me as a teacher and a person. Recently I met Salena at the Illinois ASCD Conference in Chicago! She had a booth across from us and we had so much fun hanging and out getting to know each other. She ***almost*** convinced me to model some LuLaroe leggings. Almost.
Recently, Salena reached out to us and wanted to host a fundraiser for The Debbie Smedley Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund was established by a group of our friends (We call them our Tribe!) to honor my mom. The scholarship provides $500 for one person who attends our ELEVATE conferences.
Our Tribe established the scholarship after my mom passed away suddenly in April of 2016. I was a momma’s boy and my mom loved being involved in my classroom. She visited my class every year and supported me every chance she got. If she were still around today she would be at every ELEVATE conference celebrating with us and telling embarrassing stories about me! So what is the fundraiser and what does it involve? Who loves those buttery smooth leggings from LuLaroe?! Well, it’s pretty simple! Starting at 7:00 TONIGHT (FRIDAY MAY 19) through midnight Sunday (May 21)! you can join THIS FACEBOOK GROUP and shop for LuLaroe leggings from Salena and 15 other consultants! That’s thousands of pieces to choose from. 15-20% of each sale will go to the Debbie Smedley Memorial Scholarship Fund!!! There will also be giveaways all weekend long!
