Howdy. My pink, crusty, oozy eye says hello. Another week. Another germ from the monsters. I have missed more school due to illness this year than in all my years teaching. It’s starting to annoy me. I never get sick. And this year…BAM! Teachers should get hazmat pay just for the sheer number of germs we encounter!
Today I am linking up with Reagan at Tunstall’s Teaching Tidbits for this super fun linky party! Who doesn’t need a hall pass?!

Oh my goodness-I totally feel your pain about being sick. Since Thanksgiving as soon as one part of me is well, another falls apart. Literally the first thing my class (and adults, truth be told) is, “Are you feeling okay?” Hope you get well SOON and stay well. Hang in there-we'll make it so Spring Break before we know it.
I think I want to come to your class! My favorite is your puppets. Do you have some type of stand that they are sitting on? It just looks so inviting in your reading area. I agree with you about sanity is when we as teachers have alone time with our students. I feel like so much better learning gets done when I am on my own with my kinders. Thanks for sharing.

What is up with this year? The flu is going around with a vengeance and I was just out sick for the first time EVER. Yuck! Good luck with that eye- I love this giveaway!

I feel your pain!! This is my 10th year of teaching and I've been sicker this year than I was my 1st year of teaching. I think this must just be a really bad year for creepin'crud. 🙁 Love your doorbell idea!!
I linked up a Hall Pass too…when you're done at the nurse's office, I'd love it if you'd “sneak down the hall” on your way back to class and pop over to my blog!! 😉 There's a fun little tribute to YOU…

Love the doorbell! That will definitely be on my must have list for next year.

I wish that I had a classroom with complete walls and a door- we use floor to ceiling partitions, but I only have them on two sides of my room. I am not entirely sure what the logic was for the open concept schools. Someday I will utilize this doorbell idea- genius!
Ooh, I didn't know of such a thing as a wireless doorbell! Super cool! I might have to get one!
I have never heard of the wireless doorbell!! I definitely need to get one!

Greg, I am going out and buying a doorbell right now. I am changing out of my jammies and going to Home Depot… well maybe I'll wait until tomorrow, but this is BRILLIANT.
Love the idea of the doorbell. We have one at home, but never thought of using it in the classroom!
And I sympathise with the passing of germs from the kiddos – I had a horrible stomach bug over the weekend from my little ones in the classroom!

I agree. That, too, is my sanity. Working with my babies and doing what we do. It's my sanity and my favorite thing to do 🙂
Ha, ha, I want a door bell too. I will have to add that to my list of to do's. 🙂

I love the door bell idea!!! I needed something for attention, so I hung HUGE outdoor windchimes in my room…not the little tinkerbell kind, but Big beautiful loud tone ones. They are perfect. They get their attention even when they are loud, and they sound beautiful!
Doorbell quiet signal? VERY cool. I am heading out and trying it after April vacation. It's exactly what I need…I think. Thanks for the inspiration.
