Counting Rope and One Year Blog Anniversary!

Hello!  Well, today is a BIG day here at the Kindergarten Smorgasboard!  It was on May 21 of last year that I typed up this post and officially started this wild and crazy journey that we call Smedley’s Smorgasboard of Kindergarten!  I can’t believe that this blog…the ramblings and craziness of a male kindergarten teacher has become so much more than I ever imagined!

I want to say a huge thank you for ever time you read my blog, you comment, you email me, you chat with me on Facebook and for being such awesome teachers!  You have made me feel so welcome in this world we call kindergarten and the blogging world!

To celebrate this milestone…533,000 views…1,200 followers….and never ending glitter….I made another video!  This video is a quick tutorial on how to make some really useful counting ropes!  These ropes are great for meeting common core standards for addition, subtraction and decomposing numbers!    And you get to see the world headquarters of The Kindergarten Smorgasboard!

Click the picture to view the YouTube video!  Be sure to share the video and leave lots of love for me!
I am going to be sending out a special anniversary edition of my Kindergarten Smorgasboard newsletter tonight with a really awesome freebie!  The freebie is only available in the newsletter so make you sign up before 8 central time tonight!  You can sign up over here ————>
And finally, tomorrow is our Kindergarten program and I finished our end of the year video earlier.  This is the last picture in the video…
Mr. Greg leaving the school!  Tomorrow is going to be bittersweet for sure!
