I hope everyone had a safe and fun Independence Day! I hope you had better weather than we did here in Music City. It rained. A Lot. All day. It’s still raining. A Lot. It’s supposed to rain a lot. All weekend. What happened to summer?!
I am linking up with Cara at The First Grade Parade for Favorite Pins Friday
I would love for your to follow me on Pinterest! Just click on the picture!
You all know I love my silly hats! I will definitely be using this when we learn “sh” and I might even to have work up a little shark unit!
I love this tip for teaching the mustaches about main idea! It’s very visual and very simple! This will make for great mini-lessons!
I love this idea for my new TINY classroom (if I’m ever allowed in to work!)! I don’t have much bulletin board space so this will come in very handy! Mustache duct tape anyone?!
Speaking of bulletin boards…mine will be black with green and blue paint chips as a border! I’m super excited to get these done. Now I just have to visit 234 different Lowes stores to get enough paint chips. I wonder how many paint chips you can steal borrow before Lowes gets upset? Do you think the “I’m a teacher….” excuse will work as I push my cart full of paint chips out of the store?!?
Sight words? Music? Movement? It’s a trifecta of learning!!! We will definitely be doing this game a lot in Mustache Land this year!
And finally a pin for The Kindergarten Smorgasboard world headquarters. They are starting on Project Back Yard next week! I am soooo excited because I will have some beds to plant hydrangeas in! And we will have a fenced in yard that doesn’t hold water. No more swamp!
What are you favorite pins?
The winner of our give away on Wednesday was: suzstj ! Woohoo! I need an email address so I can send your prizes!
And of course, you need a Friday Freebie!
How about some ten frame cards for your math centers or math tubs? My mustaches love these cards and they’re great for practicing Common Core standards!

Great ideas! Thanks for sharing! I like seeing those main idea circle maps! This would be cool to do as a flipchart on my activboard so I don't have to stretch my drawing skills too much – haha!
I hope you will come check out my Friday Fav pins, too!

Mr. Greg-I had to refrain from yelling in excitement in the middle of Walgreens. I was looking at artsy fartsy supplies and there in front of my eyes was duct tape with mustaches on it. I told my husband, “Look at this! I have to message Mr. Greg and tell him about this duct tape!” HAVE YOU SEEN IT?? Oh I hope you find it in TN!! Happy Shopping!!
Greg, two things- I'm loving the mustache duct tape target has in their dollar bins right now. I ended up getting the pink damask but the mustache was awesome too!
Second go to any of your hardware stores or paint stores and ask them for their discontinued paint color chips. They will give you them most of the time if you tell them you are a teacher-alot of times they will throw in stirers and other random items that you can make tons of reading and math stations out of.
