A couple questions!!!, How often do you turn the wheel for them to go to the other centers? You mentioned they stay in those two centers the wheel has chosen for them the entire time and if unfinished work, they pick it back up the next day. But when are they able to go to the next two centers? Do they stay at the same one daily, weekly???
And how long do you keep each of your guided reading groups??
I think the idea of having the children write sight words as a behavior management strategy during centers is great. What point in the school year do you begin using this strategy? A lot of my children entered the year unable to write their name, know letter names and sounds. Is this something you begin after Christmas and New Years?
