Happy Monday!  I hope everyone is enjoying their day off and I hope that we all pause to remember why we have this day off and what we can do to make the world a better place.
Today I have another super fun classroom video for you.  I am a HUGE morning meeting advocate.  IF you’re not doing morning meeting every day, call me.  We need to chat.  If you’re not doing it, plan on starting tomorrow.  You don’t want the Mr. Greg police coming after you.  I hear they can be tough and throw lots of glitter.   Seriously, morning meeting is fabulous.  It builds community, it has some movement and academics.  It sets the tone for the day.  It’s just awesome!!!
Today’s video shows you a greeting we’ve been learning called Hello Neighbor.  It’s fun.  The ‘staches get to move and greet their friends and even boogie on down!
We’ve been doing this all week long.  Don’t want ya to think this video shows day one.  (I mean we’re glitter-iffic….but not quite that good!)  What I love about this is that not only are we greeting and moving, but building reading fluency!  BAM!  Look at how genius that is.  Work smarter not harder.
You can see the video here or on my YouTube channel!
I also want to share my newest creation!  This is by request!

Howdy! I posted the picture of my my ‘staches using number bonds and had many requests for a video.  Well…ask and you shall receive.
To see more about these giant number bonds, click the picture!  The link will also get you the FREE decomposing practice pages!
Today I used a hula hoop to draw a large number bond on the floor.  We practiced decomposing numbers using our selves and the large number bond.
Then the ‘staches worked independently on their practice page using the large number bonds.  I worked with a small group at my table.
Here are some additional creations for decomposing numbers if you’re interested!

Howdy ya’ll.  Today I want to share another classroom video with you!  I really want to do more videos for you so please comment with what you would like to see in my classroom videos.

This video will show you a typical guided reading lesson in my classroom.  This is day 2 with this book so we review some tricky words, we do some reading, we discuss the book and do a little writing at the end.
You can view the video here or on my YouTube channel!
This group has two students.  Most of my groups have 3 students.  I have 4 groups and meet with each group every day.  I also see some students 1 on 1 during our literacy and writing block.

Great video of your morning meeting! I'm going to try the “Hello Neighbor” greeting! Was that your whole class? I only counted 10 children! They are smart kindergarteners
