It’s Monday Made It Time!
In our classroom, our word wall is a magnetic white board.   I use magnetic clothepins to put the words on the word wall.  This make our word wall mobile and movable so the ‘staches can grab a word, take it with them for their writing and then put it back!  BAM!  I used to find my little clothes pins at Target…but they no longer carry them.  SO….plan B!
While at Michael’s, I stumbled across these clothespins:

These are perfect!  Rainbow colors.  CHECK!   Slightly larger than the Target ones which means more magnetic strength!  CHECK!   (The smaller ones fell off sometimes so I’m hoping the larger ones with bigger magnets will hold better!  Hopefully….)
I bought some sheets of magnet!
Peeled off the back and stuck the clothespins to the sticky side of the magnet sheet.

Then I cut it apart!  After cutting between each clothespin, I simply trimmed off any excess and BAM!  Magnetic rainbow clothespins for my word wall!
I can’t wait to reveal my new classroom complete with rainbow clothespins!
Last month, we hosted the first ever Kindergarten SmorgasBOARD Meeting at The Kindergarten Smorgasboard World Headquarters!  More than 20 teachers joined us for drinks and great conversation about teaching!
I finally (cough cough) got around to posting the video!   Grab a notebook because this video is full of great tips and ideas!
Check out the trailer below and then click here to see the full video!

Nice clothespins! Love the magnetic word wall! They sell rolls of magnetic tape that might be easier for next time. Just measure, cut off a piece, and stick it on. 🙂

When you do your word wall, do you leave the words up all year?

What is the actual measurement of that whiteboard? I have an extra one in my room but not sure the size would work.
