Day 4 is sight word phrases.
The goal of day 4 is to build fluency and practice the words in context using phrases and sentences. There are 12 phrases on a PowerPoint template. The phrases are all sight words including the words for the week and previously learned words. The phrases appear on the screen and we read them. We usually read them two to three times to build fluency.
Day 4 is sight word grids.

Here’s how we do our sight word grids:

An editable sight word grid template is included in our Sight Word 60 creation (it’s an all-inclusive resource!)
Our Sight Word 60 Creation has all the detailed instructions for each day compiled in one place for you, plus templates, word cards, a parent letter, games/activities, and more! It’s available on TPT & in the TKS Store.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I love that font!
Hi Greg!
I am loving your sight word routine! Do you have an editable version of you grids? TIA!
Thank you so much! I do have an editable version of the grid, it is on Resource Center tab of this website!
When I click the resource center, I only have 2 options…subscribe to newsletter or Partners. Still not finding the editable Grids. Anyone else having this issue or is it just me?
You aren’t actually click, you are only hovering on it if those are the options you are seeing. Click on it and you’ll go to the actual Resource Center. 😉
Hi Greg! I love your sight word lessons 🙂
How early in the year do you start teaching sight words? How do you plan out your progression?
Thanks! – First year Kindergarten teacher

It works. Just click “download anyway”
Came across this video today-so much goodness. I have the doorbell already and when I heard you use the trucker cheer, I knew I had to try that one out. Taught it to my kinders and then during my OBSERVATION today I was able to use it 🙂 My principal mentioned my fun cheers in her comments. Love the sight word grid- I’m going to start this next week. Thanks for everything you share!
You mentioned that there was an editable template for sight words, but I can’t find it. This is an awesome resource. Please make the editable file accessible.
We have some different words and schedule. Thanks so much! Love all your
ideas!

Thank you Stephanie! It’s in the link but you can also easily find it in the Resource Center. 😉
I I see people have had trouble finding the editable templates for day 4. I tried to follow the advice you left in previous replies, but i still am having trouble. Sorry. Could you help me?
Ignore me I found it! Have a good day! 😊💖
Thank you for the wonderful info on sight words. I found your pacing guide in the resource center and downloaded the grids. I noticed they are updated from this older post. 🙂 A few of the grids have a word that is wrong or missing. Can you please let me know what font you used so I may correct it? Thank you so much for sharing!

,Where do you get your sight words from?
They are given to us by our district.
In addition to working on sight words weekly in class, I give students sight word booklets so (hopefully) they can move ahead at their own pace. Do you give your students any additional sight word work similar to that?
I love the Sight Word 60. Do you have the Sight Word Grids updated to reflect the 2019-2020 Plan yet? Fortunately, I am getting to implement your full curriculum and I would like to have the correct grids. I can make them of course but thought if you had them….
I just updated this yesterday!
