A Kindergarten Smorgasboard Five For Friday: Animal Crackers

T.G.I.F.  Can I say that again??  T.G.I.F.  This week went quick but the monsters have lost it.  Wow is all I can say!  Next week will be better, right?!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for the Five For Friday fun!  Five random pictures from the week.  Here we go…

Guess what we had for snack today??  And guess what we used for math today??  Yep.  Animal crackers.  Question:  How do you know you’re a kindergarten teacher?  When you go to Wal-Mart and buy 3 giant bags of animal crackers and 500 cotton balls.   I could be own “people of Wal-Mart”  website!  “Kindergarten Smorgasboard of Wal-Mart!”
I love that Wal-mart has an entire clearance aisle…it should be called Teacher Heaven.  There are so many random, useful and necessary.  Yes, necessary.  Like swirly glitter glue sticks.  An absolute necessity for any kindergarten classroom.  How do I plan to use these you ask??  I am thinking ten frames…making 10…or just for fun art projects!
Glitter glue doesn’t work for you, how about scented pencils?!  True story.  One of the packages smells like fruit and the other one is candy scented.  Let’s see how many of the monsters gnaw on these when they get them?!

Best. T-Shirt. Ever.  These are 17 of the most coveted autographs.  A sign of another amazing year in kindergarten!
And yes, I am the KING OF THE KINDER WILD THINGS!
Be sure to visit Doodle Bugs and check out all of the randomness of the week!
And in honor of the animal crackers, here is a little freebie for ya!  20 addition and 20 subtraction cards and a recording sheet.  MMMM animal crackers!  Such a fun and yummy way to meet some common core standards!
