I am so excited to be linking up with my super sweet friend Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It!
This week’s MMI took a little time…hence the late post…because I couldn’t figure out how to do what I wanted to.
But after some experimenting…some sticky fingers…I made my alphabet gemstones!!!
I’ve seen these all over Pinterest and finally got to make them!!!
These will make an awesome sensory bin activity for #backtoschool!   They are great for sounds, letter identification and abc order!   #commoncoreisfun
Here’s how I made them:
You will need these gems from the Dollar Tree.  I got clear and blue just for some color!
Letter stickers also from the Dollar Tree.  Make sure they’re not too big!
You will also need Modge Podge!
After some experimenting…here’s how I did it!
I cut around the letter BUT LEFT THEM STUCK TO THE CLEAR PLASTIC!
I put a little Modge Podge on the back (FLAT PART) of the gem.  Then I placed the letter on the gem LETTER SIDE DOWN!  Then I put another layer of Modge Podge over the gem!

When they dry, they look pretty darn spectacular!!!  I seriously can’t wait to use these in our sensory bin!!!
Total cost:  $8!!!
