December 5th Wednesday Centers

Holy WACKY WEDNESDAY!  My students were wacky today…that is all.  Wacky.
It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for a peek into our literacy and math centers for the week!  Let me just say…the QR Codes and What Does The Fox Say centers are a huge hit.  I mean…begging to do the activities in centers…HUGE!   Not only are the ‘staches begging for the centers, but I can say it building their skills in noticeable ways.  Especially with CVC words and the fox!
These QR codes are so much fun.  They are so innovative and engaging!  The ‘staches love using these!  I love that this center covers so many skills (beginning sounds, ending sounds, rhyming, counting, ten frames, counting on, blending, segmenting, and more!)   so I can adapt to meet the needs of each student. Once it’s all printed and laminated, the set up is done and it’s ready to go!

Ten frames!

Segmenting and writing CVC Words!

Notice who made an appearance in the iPod!
What Does The Fox Say?  The fox says lets work with CVC words!  Writing…spin, read and color, brace maps, puzzles and more!  RING DING DING!
CVC Words to fill the stockings!
Practicing final sounds with Santa!
Santa addition practice!
Counting and writing ten frames!

Beginning sounds clip!

This is what center set up time looks like in my class!!!
All of these activities are Common Core aligned!  If you want to check them out, they’re still 20% off tonight!
