I love the Flash Fluency idea. What a fun way to get all that math practice! It just got added to my TPT wishlist!
I need your energy!!! I am a new teacher, so I don't have a favorite plant or fable activity yet, but hoping to find one I really like:) There is so much to learn in the first year of teaching, I am just trying to keep my head on straight (those poor kids;)) You are the best Mr. Greg!
I love planting lima beans in Ziploc bags because they grow so quickly and we can see all the plant parts. It's a visual that really ties everything together for them!
Thank you so much for sharing your plans! It's nice to see another well-respected teacher doing things that I do…solidifies that what I'm doing is “good stuff!”

My favorite plant activity is growing marigolds from seeds early enough so that the kids can give them to their mothers/grandmothers for Mother's Day.
We have a beautiful garden on our campus and we love planting and watching our seeds sprout!

I love teaching about plants!! One of my favorite activities is making Harry's Hair. We use styrofoam cups and place dirt/soil and grass seed in it. Then, we wait for the “hair” to grow (the grass) and on the front of the cup we have Harry's face. So then it looks like his hair! This year I took pictures of each kid and so it looked like it was their hair growing from the cup! What fun!! :). Thanks for sharing all of your fun activities. I love the measuring with yarn! Have a great week!

I like planting marigolds with my students. My water helpers become the most popular job in my room. vhair61215@gmail.com
Oh, no! I love the Hairy Hair, too. We plant bird seed instead of grass seed, and it is always a surprise what comes up especially when the sunflower seed sprouts! But, another favorite plant activity: after reading, A Tiny Seed, I have the students make a plant with a long stem (18 inches or so) and then use tissue paper squares for the flower on top. We label the plant parts, too. It's so tall and so pretty!
Thanks for your ideas and sale. I'm going shopping.:)

So i just bought your flash fluency packet. I know I had seen a picture somewhere of the graph you made for it for the hallway. Is there anyway you have more pictures?
