Now, I know it’s summer and we need to rest and relax. We can do that too. But it’s also a great time to some prep work for next year and get ahead and tackle some fun projects we might not have time during the school year! Hopefully, we can help with that! And what’s more summer than watermelon? So how about some watermelon kindergarten activities and watermelon ten frames to help with numbers and counting!
Watermelon Kindergarten Activities: Ten Frames
This fun counting activity is perfect for summer and back to school! You know…August when it’s 146 degrees with 201 perfect humidity and your hair looks like you teased it with 2 cans of Aqua Net hairspray….what better way to cool off than with some delicious watermelon?!
And for serious, how adorbs is this clipart from Mel at Graphics From The Pond?!
This numbers and counting activity can be easily differentiated! Students can count the ten frame and match the number. They use the recording sheet to record their learning!
Students can also match the number and the ten frame and color the number.
You can also provide just the number cards for number recognition. Provide just the ten frame cards and students count the ten frame and color the number. Provide just the number cards and they have to make the ten frame.
So many different ways to use this little freebie!
