Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone is having a great day with friends and family and food! Let’s celebrate our freedom and independence and blow some stuff up!!!! We have been watching the HBO mini-series John Adams and just finished the scene where they vote on Independence and read the Declaration to the people for the first time. It was a powerful and emotional scene to watch when you realize the indescribable statement they were making. Thank you to all of the men and women who given so much to keep up free, most especially my baby sister. The baby sister is a Navy combat veteran and the first female combat veteran from our county! I am so proud of my sissy!
The fiancee’ and I went to the Target today just so I could browse the dollar section. I didn’t find much for my classroom. I did find a pencil pouch and note pad for me. It’s very appropriate because the fiancee’ says I am the most happy go lucky person who always just goes with the flow…so I am Mr. Happy! I like everything (except food then I’m the most super picky person ever. Pizza, spaghetti and burgers and chicken tenders!) and everyone (recently met someone and the fiancee’ was shocked by disdain for this person. I’m a bad person, right?!) . So these new Mr. Happy accessories are so me! AND I found MONSTER duct tape. I know, right?! I refrained from purchasing it until I could figure out how to use it in my classroom! IDEAS??? SUGGESTIONS!??
Today I also discovered a new clip art site. New to me, but not to most of you I’m sure! www.printcandee.com! I went CRAZY looking at their stuff. And until 11:59 tonight, they’re having their dollar sale! Thanks Miss A’s Kindergarten for sharing the site on her Facebook page! Check ’em out!
I finally finished my VERY first math and literacy unit! And by that I mean finished it to offer on TPT for all of you to hopefully (pretty please, with cherries on top, on my knees begging) to purchase and download. It is based on the book Officer Buckle and Gloria, which is one of my most favorite books to read at the beginning of the school year. It’s so much fun and makes rules and safety a lot of fun for my students! I can’t wait to use this in my classroom!! Click on the book to see the unit! Have I begged for you to purchase it yet?! Just checking…And if yo do buy it I really could use some constructive feedback, advice, criticism and snide remarks! Thanks.
I am also linking up with Ms. Fultz for her mystery blog hop! How much fun is that idea? Way to go Ms. Fultz!
