Center Wednesday! And a CHANGE!

Ahhhh, vacation.  Do teachers really get a vacation?  I did go work in my classroom this morning…it’s a good thing I did because our fish were delivered today and the poor things would have gone to the big fish tank in the sky before we returned!  Now they are enjoying their new home at Monsters, Inc!

And on my way to the school, I made a pit stop and made a change.  Change is good and this is a great change!  I am very excited about this!
I am officially Mr. Warren!  WOOHOO!!!!!  I will keep the hyphenated name for professional reasons and I won’t be changing the blog name!  It’s Smedley’s Smorgasboard so we can’t lose that charming name…
Here are a couple of pictures for Wednesday Centers!
I love that my students are now so excited about sight words that they are using the PIN (Post It Note) words that we have hanging on the ceiling!!!  Yay for getting them excited about sight words!

We have also gotten into a HUGE Froggy book kick!  They love reading Froggy…especially the story where Froggy gets dressed and they get to yell “underwear!”  And yes, they yell!  It’s so cute to hear them yell “FROOOOOGGGGY!”
I also love that they are using the iPad printout to “text” sight words!  Teehee!  I do believe I will be using that concept a lot more!  Ten frames…sight words…if they’re engaged, I am going to use it!
Did you hear the news?  There is a HUGE sale coming up soon on TPT!
You can get 28% off of the most amazing teaching products out there!  Here a few of my favorite products that I have made and use/will be using in my class!  Load up those carts and get ready!
And check back all week because I might have more new stuff to share and I will be sharing items from my great friends (I have 130 items in my wish list!)!  GET READY!  SET! LOAD THOSE CARTS!

Who doesn’t love a pink gingerbread man unit?!

Candy?  YES!  Learning about measurement?  YES!  Eating the candy?  YES!

A wintry mix of measurement…not the kind to give us a day off!

Who doesn’t love playing with Legos?  Why not use that motivation to learn how to compose and decompose numbers?
It’s a kindergarten smorgasboard of learning fun!
And a Hanukkah freebie for you!  Word cards for write the room, recording sheet and some ten frames!
