I am currently in grad school working on my EL certification and we recently learned this amazing new review game that I just had to bring into my classroom.  It was a HUGE hit so I had to share with you!

It’s called DUELING CHARTS!  It’s a relay game that can be used to review all sorts of skills!  And it’s simple to play!   All you need is chart paper and markers.    We use one piece of paper divided into to halves.  But you could use two separate pieces of paper.
Divide the class into two teams.  They will take turns writing on the chart.  What they write depends on the skill you’re reviewing.  For example:  this week we did letters.  Each ‘stache wrote a letter.  After a child writes a letter, they hand the marker to the next person in the line.  They write a letter on their chart and pass the marker.  You play until you call time.

This game is so simple and easy to set up that it’s perfect for those times when you have just a few minutes and need something to do.  It’s fun and exciting.  The students are engaged and you’re meeting common core standards!
At the end, we count up each side to see who has the most.  Then we all cheer because we are all winners.  We are all winners because we learned!
And here is a VERY requested freebie!
