This past summer I found this tic tac toe toss game at Deals for $10.  As soon as I saw it, my little teacher brain got all in a tizzy.  Imagine the possibilities….letters, sounds, add, subtract, word building.  And only $10.  So of course I snagged it.
I’ve used it for letters and sounds and for sight words.
So we’ve been working hard on CVC words!  I have some students who have mastered CVC words so I wanted to keep them working on CVC words but I wanted to give them a challenge.
So, I made a new toss game for CVC words.  The challenge is that they’re going to have to toss until a word is built!
I made letters for 27 words.  Of course, they can’t all fit but because I use velcro to attach the letters, it can easily be changed out!
I also created a recording sheet with all 27 words.  Once a word is build they can write it on the recording sheet.  OR you can just use a blank piece of paper and they can write the words they build!
Super easy.  Super colorful.  Super engaging and adds a little “rigor” to reading CVC words.  Rigor…that word annoys me.  Greatly.  I mean for real.  Ask the “experts” what it means and you get a whole lotta nothing.  Rigor…don’t even get me started!
Anyways, here’s a freebie for ya!   With all the letters and a recording sheet!
