Kindergarten Read Alouds For September: Apples
Of course, we teach apples in September! Johnny Appleseed Day is September 26th, so we learn about all things apples!
We use our Apple Research Project to learn about apples and meet science and ELA standards!
Of course, you must read The Seasons of Arnold’s Apple Tree for September! We learn about the life cycle of apple trees and learn great vocabulary. One of our favorite activities to do with this book is making apple towers!

September 11th is a difficult day, especially for kindergarten and early childhood teachers. To honor September 11th, we will use this time to learn about community helpers.

Another way we honor September 11th is by learning about American symbols. September 17th is also Constitution Day, so American symbols are a perfect social studies topic for September!
