Of course, we teach apples in September! Johnny Appleseed Day is September 26th, so we learn about all things apples!

Of course, you must read The Seasons of Arnold’s Apple Tree for September! We learn about the life cycle of apple trees and learn great vocabulary. One of our favorite activities to do with this book is making apple towers!

Kindergarten Read Alouds: Community Helpers

September 11th is a difficult day, especially for kindergarten and early childhood teachers. To honor September 11th, we will use this time to learn about community helpers.

We use our Community Helpers Research Project to learn about different community helpers!

Read Alouds For September: American Symbols

Another way we honor September 11th is by learning about American symbols. September 17th is also Constitution Day, so American symbols are a perfect social studies topic for September!
