Happy Thursday! I was so happy to be back with my little ‘staches today!! It was even better to find out that they had been good while I was gone! There’s nothing quite like 15 little ones telling you they missed and that you’re glad they’re back!
I love when I sit at my guided reading table reading with the ‘staches and I look out into our big new classroom and see the ‘staches engaged in our centers! I also love when I walk around and see all of the choices they make and all of the different activities they’re choosing. I believe that choice is key to their engagement and learning, which is why I provide so many choices and opportunities for centers! I firmly believe it’s a big reason for the success in my classroom. That…or I just get very lucky!!
So, it’s Thursday…how about Thursday centers and you’ll see all of the choices they make!
Snowballs and long vowels?! Yes, please. Hey, we gotta get in our snowball fights somehow since mother nature has decided that Nashville is never going to get snow again. Seriously…everyone but us gets snow. I’m a little annoyed by this!
Foxes and teeth and long vowels oh my!
CVC and CVC E words with the fox! What does the fox say? He says use your sounds! hehe
Glitter? Playing cards? Math? Um, definitely!
We rocked decomposing numbers today!!!! I was so proud of how well we did!!!!!
Glitter and tally marks and hearts! I heart glitter!
Who doesn’t love Legos? How about Legos and math?!
Add and subtract and color by code! Go teeth!
Teeth and ten frames! Go teeth!
So those are our centers for the week! We’ve been having some serious fun and working hard!
Glitter…fun….learning…choice! Kindergarten rocks!
How about a give away?!
