A Kindergarten Smorgasboard Of Wednesday Centers: August 21st, 2014

It’s BACK!  That’s right folks!   It’s a new school year…a whole new crop of ‘staches to grow and manicure…and a whole new year of Wednesday Centers!  Each Wednesday I will share some of the center activities we’ve been doing in our classroom!  Hopefully you’ll find something new to try or be inspired to whip up a fun center!  As always, feel free to share these ideas and share your own center ideas in the comment section!
This week was our introduction to centers and so far they’re doing an amazing job.  We have started our tubs, technology, library and write the room centers.  After a couple more weeks of practice, we will transition to using our center wheels. I HEART CENTERS!
Nothing beats some glittery ABCs and 123s to go along with a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom unit!

Summer blockbusters ain’t got nothing on our blockbuster numbers center!

This is a huge hit in the class!  Cookie sheet letter matching!    IT’S SO EASY and basically free.  Cookie sheets are 97 cents at Wal-Mart…unless you’re like me and hoard them in your classroom.  And the magnetic letters…we all have those by the billions.  They multiply like those dang plastic tiles…someday, they’re gonna take over my classroom.

Another cookie sheet goodie.  Tape.  Gems.  Magnets.  TEN FRAME fun!

People…check out the hairdo.  This kid has the best hair ever.  Seriously…I want the spiky mohawk!

Humpty Dumpty letter matching.  No fall here.  Just fun letter matching!

Letter writing fun!

People, I made this light box over the summer.  It’s a HUGE HIT!  I love love love love love love love love love it.  I might have to whip up another one soon!  Seriously…you need this!
CLICK HERE to see how I made it.  And yes those are plastic shot glasses from the Dollar Tree.  I bought HUNDREDS of those…just for this purpose!

This is another favorite already.  QR Codes!  If you don’t have these, get them.  You need these.  They are so different and engaging…your kiddos will beg for them.

Who doesn’t love ten frames?!
Writing the room?  YES PLEASE!
If you’re interested in any of these centers, check em out below!

And you still have a few hours to shop the TPT one day BOOST sale!
