Informational Text Whole Group Reading Lesson – SmorgieVision

It’s time for another classroom video!  This is a request (if you have a request for a video, click the Submissions For Smorgie button on the right and send in your request.  Your wish is my command!)
This is a whole group lesson using informational text to kick off our weather research unit.  You’ll see us start off with schema and you’ll hear a read aloud.  I try to make the read alouds as interactive as possible so you see lots of discussions and questions as we read.    This is a typical whole group lesson for my class.  If it’s a fictional story we would do a story map or work on comprehension strategies, but the interactive part is still there.
Let me know what you think or if you have questions!
You can see the video here or on my YouTube channel!
