A Kindergarten Smorgasboard Schedulin Sunday!

Happy Schedulin’ Sunday!!!
People, can you believe I only have 2 full weeks left????????   YIKES!   That means two weeks to wrap it all up…celebrate…end the year with a major space unit that ends with a bang!  AND in case you didn’t know…I’m packing up and hitting the road!   I am moving to a new school next year, so I have to start boxing up my tiny classroom for a larger space!!!!!!!  WOOHOO!   And don’t worry, I’ll still be in kindergarten!!!
So…here’s our week….sorry for the lack of pictures!  This is our first big space unit so there will be lots of pictures to come later!!!
As always, you can download my lesson plans by clicking on the pictures!
Here are some fun space books we’ll be reading this week:
Here’s how our space unit looks for this week:
Monday-Day and Night.  We will sort/draw things that happen in the daytime and at night.  And we will draw what we see during the day and night.  We will also be making super cute alien hats.  Sentence strips….green glitter…3 eyes on pipe cleaners!  BAM!
Tuesday-labeling space.  Black construction paper.  Cut out starts, moon, sun and glue on paper and label with white crayons.
Wednesday-Astronaut Day!  We’re preparing to explore the planets so we’ll need astronaut hats, we will have to fill out our astronaut application and make an astronaut tree map so we know what our job will be!
Thursday-Planets!  We will listen to the planet song from Pancake Manor, we will make a list of all 8 planets and make a planet hat!
Friday-Planets!
Alien Parfait!
Chocolate pudding and vanilla pudding layers.  Green jello on top.  Marshmallow eyes!
We’re also working on fact/opinion this week using my all time favorite book:
We will sort facts and opinion, we will do persuasive writing, and survey our friends!
We’re also doing EE words!  So we’ll be making a sheep in a jeep anchor chart and a cute but simple sheep art project to assess EE words!
Math….numbers to 100.  Subtraction and addition!
We’ll be using our dice and dominos to add and subtract!  Here are some free recording sheets for you!

Our alphabet countdown continues:
K-kites and kings

J-jump rope
I-Ice cream day

H-Hat Day
G-GLITTER!   (My favorite day of the year!)
