Simple Valentine’s Day Math Activity

One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to share more simple and cost effective (As in CHEAP OR FREE!) ideas for all my teacher friends!
This quick and colorful activity requires no printing, cutting, or laminating!
Here’s where teacher heaven ….better known as Dollar Tree…comes in!
For $3 and about 10 minutes of prep,  we have a fun, hands on counting center/workstation/hippopotamus for February!
And if you have pink, red and white cardstock or paper, this could be a FREE project!
You need….
Sharpie
Foam Hearts (2 packs….$2)
1 pack of pom poms ($1)
Total=$3!
I took the foam hearts and wrote numbers 1-20 using a Sharpie.
Students use the pom poms to count!
