Today I’m sharing our newest subitizing freebies! These Halloween subitizing cards and videos area fun way to practice number fluency and Halloween counting! Subitizing is simply recognizing how many without counting. Subitizing is also about recognizing patterns! This skill is a key foundational skill for math success! And these videos are fun and get students up and moving and engaged while working on Halloween counting and math skills! I mean, who doesn’t want to dance to Thriller during math?!
There are two versions of the videos: a slower version and a faster version! This early in the school year we will use the slower version to work on counting. Next, we will also use this subitizing freebie to practice one to one correspondence. And we will build number fluency!
