# Subtraction: Schedulin Sunday May 2018

This week we are continuing to boldly go where no man has gone before…SPACE! We are continuing our  space research project!   We are also working on subtraction to 20 with SUBTRACTION BOOTCAMP and continuing VOWEL TEAMS BOOTCAMP!

And as always you can download my lesson plans by clicking the image below!

# Math: Subtraction

In math, we are working on subtraction to 20 and Subtraction BOOTCAMP!  This differentiated math curriculum involves whole group practice with subtraction to 10.  Then it also allows us to provide differentiated small group or individual activities.

This week we are doing some hands on subtraction games to practice subtraction to 10 and 20!

Up first, CHASING CHICKENS!  Grab some yellow balloons.  Write subtraction equations on the balloons.  Students chase the chickens and solve the equations!

## Dive In And Subtract!

We use our plastic swimming pool and ball pit balls to subtract!  Students “dive in” the pool, grab a ball and solve the equation!

For more details on DIVE IN AND SUBTRACT, check out this post!

We also have a little surprise game up our sleeve.  We are calling it WRECK EM subtraction.  It involves a Yo-Yo and Solo cups!  Stay tuned for all the awesome details!

## This week we’re continuing our BACKWARDS BOOTCAMP!  This is where we countdown the letters of the alphabet to celebrate our year together.  Ya’ll for real.  The last 26 days of school are here.  I can’t.  I just can’t.
