Space  Research Project

kindergarten space unit

The ‘staches are using my Space research creation to research and write about space, astronauts and planets!  We have officially been hired as astronauts and we are now on our journey through the solar system!  Each day we board our rocket and blast off to the next planet where we research the planet, look at images of the planet and write about the planet!

For each planet, we read a book and look at NASA photographs of the planet.  The students fill out a fact sheet for each planet.  The fact sheet includes facts about the planet and the students illustrate a picture of the planet.  For NASA photographs, check out this post!

This research project contains suggested books, recording sheets for each planet and writing pages as well as all the materials needed to create your research journal and graphic organizers!  This 2 week space unit is aligned to the NGSS.
