ABC Books For The Classroom

We love to use ABC books in our classroom, especially at the beginning of the school year! High-quality, engaging, fun alphabet books are essential in helping our kids learn sounds and letters. These are just a few of our favorites!

ABC BOOKS

We recommend using these alphabet books and our ABC BOOTCAMP curriculum in the first 26 days of school!

You can click on each book to see it on Amazon or you can CLICK HERE for our complete collection!

ABC BOOKS WITH ANIMALS

These books have animal characters and some are even informational text so you can learn about animals as you learn sounds and letters.

Here’s an idea for Old Black Fly: after reading the story you can do a painting project. Squit black paint on paper and have students blow the paint with a straw. Then add the first letter of their name that you cut out using a die-cut machine!

Alphabet Books With Vehicles

These alphabet books all have vehicles or construction themes! These would be great to read and then have students build letters using pattern blocks and snap cubes!

ALPHABET BOOKS WITH PEOPLE

These books have people and families as their characters. As always, we must make sure our books are inclusive. Always ask yourself if your books reflect your students, the world and those who might be different!

More Fun Alphabet Books

These are just fun books with lots of themes. Make sure to check out our Shiver Me Letters activity that’s linked at the end of this post!
