Who doesn’t love learning games for kids? Who doesn’t love a game that can be changed to practice any skills? Check out how we use this ten-dollar toss-across game in our classroom!
Learning Games For Kids: Toss And Learn
We found this game at Big Lots but you can find them anywhere, including Amazon!
We use this game for adding and subtracting, CVC words, letters and sounds, and sight words! The possibilities are endless!
It’s pretty easy to set up because we use Velcro dots and once the dots are one, the rest of the setup is pretty easy! And we have a free file for you to make it even easier!
Print some numbers. (FREEBIE BELOW)
Laminate.
Cut apart.
Add Velcro.
Attach.
BAM! New math game ready to go!
I only included numbers 0-5, so we will never go over 10 when adding, but if you want to go higher, you could include numbers up to 10! In upper grades, add in a multiplication and division sign! BAM!
Here’s how we use the game:
I’ll have my students give each of the spinners a spin, including the middle spinner.
Then they will have to write all of the equations on their recording sheet.
Spin again. Write. Spin.
Oh, it’s a little noisy! So just be ready!
This will be great for helping them identify plus and minus and for remembering that the biggest number goes first when we subtract!
Click the recording sheet to get your freebies! (Includes the numbers and recording sheet!)
